Book Cover Assignment(s)

Students must read two books of their own choosing (not books assigned to them in classes) over the course of the semester, and show that they can independently analyse what they read. You may choose between book reports (which can be counted as writing assignments), book talks (in-class presentations), or book cover assignments. You can also do a combination, if you prefer. Book cover assignments can be counted as writing assignments in Category 5.

You should read one book of your choice each term, and complete either a book report, book talk, or book cover for that book. Be sure that the book is at grade level or higher, and you have not read the book before. You will need parental permission to read your book; hand in a note from your parent(s) giving you permission to read it with the assignment.
